Are you missing or soon-to-be missing an adult tooth or teeth and are looking at the cost of dental implants? Replacing a tooth with a dental implant will restore your smile and confidence, however the cost of dental implants can be quite confusing - after all, sometimes it’s just a single tooth that needs replacing, isn’t it?
In this article we explain the price of dental implants, and what goes into that price, with the treatment ultimately giving you your natural smile back, and your tooth function enabled.
How much do dental implants cost?
Our dental implants cost from $5,000 per tooth, and can be paid for using our interest-free payment plans. At Cronulla Beach Dental we prioritise transparency, and below we detail how we forecast and come to the cost of dental implants.
Tooth implant materials
For a surgical procedure designed to last a life-time, the materials should match. We use the highest quality titanium implant, abutment and a handcrafted dental crown, custom-designed to look and fit in with your natural teeth. High quality matters - especially when it comes to your teeth.
Adjunct surgical procedures
In many cases patients will need to have the unhealthy tooth/teeth extracted as the first step. Some patients may also require a sinus lift, and/or a bone graft to ensure the jaw bone is strong enough to withstand the insertion of, and then retain the titanium implant in place. This is all before the dental implant procedure itself, for which typically takes 1-2 hours and sees Dr Daley carefully and gently place the implant into the jaw bone.
Having read the above, if you’re concerned about experiencing pain during your dental implant surgery - please don’t be. We have a specialist on hand to administer IV sedation during surgical procedures, ensuring you sleep through the dental implant insertion, and with no pain. Their specialised knowledge, skill set and involvement is also factored into the cost of dental implants.
Number and position of implants
If you are missing or needing to replace several adjacent teeth, a crown bridge (featuring up to six ‘teeth’) can be affixed to the one implant. If however your missing teeth aren’t located side-by-side, a single dental implant will be required for each tooth. This circumstance also affects the price of dental implants.
A tooth implant is not a simple procedure, therefore your dentist should possess significant experience and a successful track record in completing this custom dental treatment. Dr Daley is an accomplished, highly skilled and conscientious dentist, and you will feel safe and in trusted hands.
